Lafayette Duplex

Baseline Design designed a new duplex in the Old Town Residential zone of Lafayette. Each unit is 2 stories over a basement, with a combined square footage of approximately 5,000 square feet. A primary design goal was to concentrate building massing near the center of the lot and step down to achieve appropriate scale at the street. Special attention was given to design features highlighted in the historic neighborhood's design guidelines, including porches, building forms and roof lines. Attention to detail and materials at these elements gives a subtle contemporary feel to the welcoming and traditional street presence.
